The eighth edition of BIG DIVE has ended

BIG DIVE 8 closed on 12 July with the presentation of the final projects of “divers”, during the final event held in the mezzanine hall of OGR Tech.
Before showing in a video the 2019 edition of the training course in BIG DATA and DATA SCIENCE (organized by TOP-IX, in collaboration with Axant, Fondazione ISI and Todo) we give you some numbers of BIG DIVE 8 / “Data from Space to Earth“: 16 “divers” from 7 different countries participated. Thirteen males, three females, with an age range ranging from 24 to 51 years. 22 techers were attended during the 105 hours of lessons; a week of work to carry out the Final Projects:

  • “Atomic clocks and Space Weather” – data by: INRiM;
  • “Polar: ice detection” – data by: ESA, TUD;
  • “Earth Observation and Agriculture” – data by: ALTEC Space, ARPEA;
  • “Earth Observation and Urbanization” – data by: ESA, SENTINEL HUB.
