class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Transport services are dedicated <strong>exclusively to a single Member\/Partner<\/strong> of the consortium and allow for the <strong>implementation of dedicated Layer 2 connectivity<\/strong> between ports assigned to them, active on the consortium&#8217;s infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Transport services are exclusively available in <strong>direct access mode<\/strong> to the TOP-IX infrastructure and can only be provided on ports of the &#8220;Transport&#8221; type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, see our full <a requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Physical Layer<\/strong><br>The <strong>physical interfaces of the devices connected to the TOP-IX infrastructure<\/strong> must comply with the interconnection requirements defined in the <strong>Service Description<\/strong> document. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any exceptions must be agreed upon with TOP-IX and explicitly authorized by it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MAC and VLAN Layer<\/strong><br>The service is intended to allow <strong>connectivity between Layer 3 devices of the Consortium&#8217;s Members\/Partners<\/strong>, therefore a limit is imposed on the MAC addresses that can be routed through the TOP-IX infrastructure (a necessary limit to preserve the proper functioning of the backbone itself). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maximum limit of MAC addresses that will be accepted on the single interconnection port is set to <em>2 for each requested VLAN<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"\"  data-pds-tabs--accordion-initially-open=\"false\" >\n\n<p>The service also includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>one or more IP addresses<\/strong> belonging to the Autonomous System of TOP-IX (according to the services<br>requested) to be <strong>used to implement any BGP sessions<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>one or more VLANs<\/strong> to other Members\/Partners of the Consortium (each VLAN can be<br>propagated exclusively between two Members\/Partners);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access to <strong>statistics<\/strong>, managed by TOP-IX, related to the volume of traffic developed<br>through their own active port on the Consortium&#8217;s backbone;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participation in TOP-IX mailing lists;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>system support for configuration updates<\/strong> on the ports;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>system support<\/strong> <strong>for failures<\/strong> within the TOP-IX platform that impair its operation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The services provided by the Consortium DO NOT include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>housing costs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>costs for Autonomous System of TOP-IX (according to the services<br>requested) to be <strong>used to implement any BGP sessions<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>one or more VLANs<\/strong> to other Members\/Partners of the Consortium (each VLAN can be<br>propagated exclusively between two Members\/Partners);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access to <strong>statistics<\/strong>, managed by TOP-IX, related to the volume of traffic developed<br>through their own active port on the Consortium&#8217;s backbone;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participation in TOP-IX mailing lists;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>system support for configuration updates<\/strong> on the ports;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>system support<\/strong> <strong>for failures<\/strong> within the TOP-IX platform that impair its operation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The services provided by the Consortium DO NOT include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>housing costs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>costs for cross-connects within
