The ISO/IEC 27001 standard is widely known and provides requirements for an information security management system (ISMS), although there are more than a dozen standards in the ISO/IEC 27000 family. Their use allows organizations of all types to manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details, or information entrusted by third parties.
TOP-IX has renewed its certification, as defined by the ISO/IEC 27001 standard, previously limited to the Internet Exchange, and extended it to all its activities, through a verification process conducted by CSQA and involving the entire company staff.

The certification qualifies that data management at TOP-IX is carried out according to the highest standards, reassuring current customers (and members of the Consortium) as well as new entities that may find a reliable partner.
The issue of information security is linked to three main axes, confidentiality, integrity, and availability, and is at the center of discussions on cybersecurity that have been taking place in Europe for some time.
